VICENTE LÓPEZ
Vicente López is one of the 135 parties in the Argentine province of Buenos Aires. It is located immediately north of the City of Buenos Aires, and is part of the northern part of its metropolitan area known as Greater Buenos Aires. Its main town, Olivos, is 20 km from the center of the city of Buenos Aires and 87 km from La Plata, the provincial capital.
Vicente López has the highest socioeconomic indicators in Greater Buenos Aires. Together with San Isidro, they are the only parties in Greater Buenos Aires with negative population growth. With just 33 km² of surface area and 270,929 inhabitants, it is the smallest and 23rd party. most populated in the province of Buenos Aires. It is also the second smallest district in the country.
The party is known for its extensive residential areas, for being the headquarters of the Argentine Presidential Residence and for its coastal park facing the Río de la Plata.
Vicente López has experienced a real estate boom since the mid-2000s, particularly on its main arteries; Avenida del Libertador and Avenida Maipú. In recent years, large-scale developments have also emerged in the General Paz Pan-American Node.
